Went to Harbor Freight and got several pair of real cheepies and leave them in drawers all around the house. They should always be able to find a pair and leave mine alone.

Good answer! My DH learned about 40 years ago that "Yes, Dear." was the best answer when he would have wanted to say something else. Always remember - "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

I had 3 boys, 2 that I gave birth to and 1 that I married. I have always kept my "good" scissors in the boxes they came in - they're all Ginghers. My first really good scissors were Fiskars & they cut sandpapr really well!!! That's when I bought the Ginghers - as a price to be paid for using something that didn't belong to them!!! In a box, on a shelf over cutting table & (most importantly) out of sight.

Buy your darlin' a nice pair of kitchen shears, give her a kiss and all will be well.

I would be upset also, go and buy yourself another pair of scissors and hide them

I keep 5 scissors in my kitchen! 5! there is no reason for anyone to go into my sewing studio for scissors. (I do like the suggestion of putting a padlock thru the handles, but I would end up losing the key : )

I just have to take advantage of DH's "cheapskateness." I just tell him how much everything costs. He would never touch my $12 dollar fabric scissors because he couldn't bare to replace such an expensive item. Also, after he got over the shock of how much my rotary cutting board cost, he pretty much is afraid to even touch it now out of fear of warping it.

I agree with the others who say there just needs to be lots of scissors around to avoid the temptation of using our sewing scissors.

lol My husband wouldn't dare. I told him if he touched my fabric scissors, not only would he have to buy me a new pair, but I'd stab him with them.

My daughter tried to steal my little snips once...because they have a purple handle. So I went and bought her two new pairs of her own safety scissors, one with pink handles and one with purple. She's happy now.
