I finally put a note on all my items that says " IF you touch I don't think you want to find out what happens!" Seems to work, my items never come up missing anymore.

I told DD that her dad once used my scissors and I cut his leg off! She hasn't used them since.
Dh only has one leg from a motorcycle accident but she didn't know how he lost it for a long time.

The ones he ruined were only like $2.99. LOL
I had the same experience but I went for the $65. Gingers and that fixeed the problem. Moosegirl

I lost a good pair when my DH used them for CUTTING CARPET. We're still married (just).

My DH knows better than to use any of my quilting/sewing tools anywhere else in the house...and to not ask permission first, LOL. :)

I hear you. I laid down the law 20 years ago that they would die if they touched my scissors. They are still with me. =)

Hide my fabric (4 pr) and craft (2 pr) scissors. Keep 3 "kitchen" scissors handy in the kitchen.

My hubby did this with my haircutting scissors that I keep in the bathroom. He started to pick them up one day and I said do not use those and he said "Why not I always use that pair they cut good." Well they do not cut good now. lol. As for my sewing scissors my whole family knows that it is a major offence to even think about touching them.

My DH used my best scissors to cut the grips off his golf clubs.
