The one I use is a Black & Decker Press and Dress. It does have an auto shut off, but all I need to do is press a button to turn it back on and heats back up very quickly. Can't remember what I paid, but know it was not very expensive at all.

My iron is supposed to shut off after 60 minutes, a feature that I love. However, I have dropped it so often, it thinks 30 minutes on is enough.

I have the Rowenta steam generator and I plug mine into a serge protector too PLUS I plug a nite lite into the strip so I know at a glance when my iron is left on even if I forget and turn the light off & leave the room.
