Me too. Well maybe not yesterday, but sorry you missed it when it was cleaned.

I try to do a good cleaning once a week otherwise I let it go. I do laundry everyday. Right now my quilting area is messier than the rest of the house.

I keep up with the laundry but the housework can wait. I have a t-shirt I wear when I'm cleaning that says "Cleaning and cooking are for people who haven't discovered quilting yet!" Words I live by - LOL!

Up until a couple of years ago, I always cleaned on Thursday nights. Here's why. I didn't want to spend my weekend cleaning. I continued with this when I married again. My husband plays golf on Saturday and I will be darned if I'm going to clean on my days off while he plays golf. Then he would say, let's go to dinner on Thursdays, so the cleaning wouldn't get done. I gave up. He now has alzheimers and if I write down what I would like him to do, he will try. I always clean the kitchen and make the bed.

Actually I'd rather clean house than cook. I just don't.

I hear you on that point. I always have to pick up the house, do the dishes, make the bed, do a load of wash first thing am.
I can't sew until this is all done. Then I can go to my sewing room. Which by now I'm too tired to sew :-(
Of course theres day the sheets need to be changed, the floors vacuumed, bathrooms cleaned, etc. etc. I wish I could just let it all go, but I can't sew until everything is done. You would think after 40 years of keeping house I could let it go. LOL
Atleast with winter coming I don't have the yard work to do.
Hubby does the mowing and weed eating, but I have the landscaping to keep up. Maybe someday I can put my quilting before the housework. (?)Happy quilting to all

I ignore all housework: dust, dirty floors, whatever til my once a month (all I can afford) cleaners come.

Dishes, silverware rinsed and put in dishwasher til it's full, then I run it and use clean stuff directly from it.
I never make my bed unless I'm having company and when my cleaners come.

I do do laundries, cause I'd run out of underwear if I didn't
I do keep my sinks and toilets cleaned - I'm not that slovenly!

Housework doesn't know my name. And I'm not introducing myself.
