    Default Houston Quilt Festival Question(s)

I am going to the festival for the first time with three friends. We'll be buying the multi day pass.
Can anyone please tell me if these will fit into the standard "hang around your neck" sort of holder?
Also, to get to the hotel from the airport, any recommended transportation? Although we are staying at one of the festival-affiliated hotels, I don't think they provide shuttle service from the airport, only to/from the festival.
Any information re the above, or any other helpful info is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    GEMRM

ticket yes, I don't know about transportation, I'm sure taxi is the only offering, I don't think the buses run that route

There are shuttle services to and from the airport. The booth is located at Ground Transportation. Much cheaper than a cab. I use them when I go.

This is not true. Both times I went to Houston, I booked a ride on the Super Shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Make reservations before you go, so you are ensured a seat.

It was more affordable than a taxi.

You can always call the hotel directly and ask if they do offer shuttle service.

Which airport are you flying into? Hobby or IAH? You might also consider Uber or other car services and I would definitely ask the hotel for services that work with them or that they can recommend.

Hobby is closer to the convention center than IAH (assuming your hotel is near the convention center), but I suspect you might be IAH if you are coming in internationally.

We had a Hotel shuttle from and to the airport and also festival shuttle to and from the convention center..we went as store buyers but I don't think that makes a difference.

The name tag does fit in the standard plastic holders. They will have the hang-around-your-neck holders at the quilt show.

I arrange for car service through the hotel to and from the airport. Even if the hotel doesn't have one, they can arrange for a shuttle service for you, but not free. Much nicer then a cab, lots of room for luggage and no one is crowded.

The downtown hotels should offer shuttle service. I'd check with them first. As far as using Uber, I wouldn't. The drivers are just anybody driving their car which may or may not be safe to say nothing of the insurance problem. If they are carrying state minimums and you are injured in an accident, you'll end up in court to get your money.

I travel there with a group. We take a taxi. Three to a cab is cheaper that the Super Shuttle.
