Last month I had to put a sleeve on a large and small quilt to hang for display for a few weeks. I made the sleeve and glued it on the small one. The quilt hung just fine. I used Elmer's School Glue. The sleeve came off with water when the display was over. For the large one I fused the sleeve on using batting tape. I will leave that sleeve on the quilt, it was made with the same fabric as the backing so can't even see it. If I don't like doing something, then I find something that does the same job but is easier for me.

I have done the triangle method for smaller wall hangings. But for quilts, I use the same wooden blocks that sprice does to hang my quilts. Nothing to sew on, so if I decide to use the quilt as a quilt, I don't have extra "stuff" on my quilt. Plus, I can easily change the quilts I hang.
