How can I find out the age of this one

I was given a Singer machine along with the cabinet. It belonged to one of my husbands aunts that I was very fond of. My question is how do you find out how old it is? It has the number plate on it.

Go to www.singerco.com and under resources, I think, you'll find a section about serial numbers. Check your serial number (the number plate) against this list and it will tell you when your new baby was born and where. Have fun!
