Default How Can I Make Pencil Mark Disappear?

I marked a binding with a pencil and now I can't get rid of it. An eraser won't erase it. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Sorry to hear your marks won't come out. I used to have a formula that someone gave me to erase pencil marks but not sure where it is. I will go looking. I am thinking it was rubbing alcohol and water but not sure. I bet someone on this board will give you a great solution. Good Luck

A lot of quilters find that pencil washes out when the quilt is washed, especially if they were drawn lightly. Try marking a scrap of fabric the same way and wash that. Also check on Google.
So sorry for you! Please post if you find a good solution.

Try washing it in the machine. If the marks don't come out - don't dry it! You can 'scrub' with a bit of dishwashing detergent and an old toothbrush if they are really stubborn marks. If you've been really heavy-handed (as I've been known to do) you might only be able to lessen them but should not be overly noticeable after numerous washings.

I use a soft toothbrush to rub a 50/50 mix of water and rubbing alcohol, with a couple of drops of Dawn dish detergent. It has always worked for me, even the most stubborn pencil marks. Good luck!

The one and only time I ever used a pencil, it would not come out in the wash. A friend lent me her bottle of Sew Clean to remove the pencil marks, and it did work. Needless to say I bought my own bottle of Sew Clean, and it has helped me a lot since then.

The marks should come off with an eraser. Try a gum eraser like artists use.

The Sewline mechanical pencil is very easy to remove. It is the only one I will use on the front of fabric.
Try graphite remover or mascara remover.
