This is a great thread. What I love most about this board is that I never see the rudeness or belittling of one's skills, knowledge, or aptitude. EVERYONE gets a comment and EVERYTHING is commented on. This is truly a welcoming, inspiring, kind and friendly board.

I totally agree! Although I have been reading this blog for years,I rarely post but I have learned sooooooo much valuable information. This is truly one of the best group of quilters one could ever hope to find ANYWHERE!!!!! God Bless each of you!

This is a pattern called Mexican Stars. If you google Mexican Stars Quilt Pattern, go to the images, not the Eleanor Burns block. There are many shops that sell the pattern. I just went to the first one to make sure it was "the one."

I made one of these in a one-day retreat more than 5 years ago and don't know what happened to it. It was easy and doesn't have any curved piecing in it.

This pattern is from Southwinds by Annette Ornleas one of the best quilt teachers you could ever have , I am luck enough to call her my friend , sadly it has been many since I lived in the USA , but I still miss her , maybe one day I will go for a holiday. Cathy (Australia)
