I've had one for years, and it goes everywhere my needle and thread do.
Now my sewing machine threads the needle, too. I'm getting quite lazy in my old age!

I'm going to have to get me one of these! So simple. It will be a matter of finding it when I need it.

Have these changed any since the 70's ?I think they have been around about that long. I have a vintage one or two.

I have had one for a long time...the original brown version...didn't know they had a stand for it and may have to get one of those. The only needles I haven't been able to get it to thread are the #11 Jeana Kimball straw needles for applique.

I have one and recommend it highly!! When we get a bit older, they eyesight is not what it used to me........(at least mine isn't) and this is sure a time saver and lowers my frustration.

My quilt guild had one for a demonstration and half the ladies could not get it to work so I just use my old little wire threader when I need it. That works on all needles.

Yep, that's why I bought the machines I did. Back 10 years ago the Designer I, I believe was the first machine to offer automatic needle threading, and cutting too.
