We went fabric shopping! Also checked out a "new to me" LQS that's just a great shop. Had a wonderful day

Today just happened to be my monthly quilting day with "the girls". We had a super day....lots of quilting, talking, laughing, and a little venting just to balance things out. LOL

Took the dog to the vet. Studied my project on the wall. Hung a new color (the 'sand' in my landscape beach scene). Wanted to ponder the color. Went outside and cleared one of the garden beds of last years debris. Came back in and decided I didn't like the color I hung. Ran out to LQS to buy another color - bought two cause I wasn't sure. Laundered two new fabrics. About to go in the room and hang the two new colors to ponder in the evening artificial lighting and will ponder them more tomorrow in natural lighting ... then hopefully actually DO something with them.

Cleaned up my sewing space. Well, a little. Then I squared up some blocks. Then I went to a quilt show in Spain, thanks to ButterflySpain's post.

I sewed binding on a small doll quilt... except the hand sewing part! I will start that tomorrow. I wanted to try FMQ and had a bird panel and cut it into two sections and played with it. I still have more to do on it but I am happy with my first attempt at this type of work.

I drove up to Anthony, KS and met up with 2 ladies from this forum at their guild meeting!
IT as was great fun...they had a wonderful show and tell!
Driving home was scary in the pouring down rain....on back country roads with nothing around, not even the cows...but I made it home to OK just fine and look forward to going back up there in April to be a vendor at their quilt show!

I went to my Long Arm chapter meeting. Sharon Schamber gave a trunk show. OH MY GOODNESS! After seeing her work, you want to go home and take a nap, go home and burn all of YOUR quilts..or go home and quilt Quilt QUILT! (then we went to a quilt shop and did a bit of retail therapy! )

I spent much of the day on this list. However, I did put my first mitered border on a quilt. I messed up by stretching the corners. I had to rewet and scrunch them up and re-press them. I think it will be ok.
