I took one class about 20 years ago and pretty much on my own after that! Sure is addicting!

I just jumped right in. Some time ago I decided that, having sewn garments and home decor for years, this should not be all that difficult, no fitting required. Granted, I was not and still am not an expert, but I have learned a lot by trial and error and especially from reading posts on this board. Thanks all.

I liked a log cabin pattern so got supplies and made the top. Moved, some coworkers were quilters & were gracious enough to teach me some of the finer points, I've learned through books, internet, friends & of course here and I thank you one and all! I love it, my learning curve has been vertical since I began in earnest & I don't expect it to fall any time soon!

it is neither safe nor healthy for me Not to have something to occupy my hands!! I also have a very vivid imagination so creating and designing , "making things " just sort of became a part of me. Mostly self taught , lots of books, magazines and trial and error; make that lots of error!! tee hee

I am self taught from books and then I did a sampler quilt from a friend who was teaching it to others. I am still using it on my lounge chair every day. It had poly filling but that was before joining Rosewood Quilters and had learned the better way from more experienced quilting friends. I now watch T.V and YouTube as well as from this board in the last year. Thanks everyone.
