How to do this in EQ5
I made a block which is 6 1/2" x 10 1/4" actual size. I'd like to add to it to make it 12" square finished and it would be nice if EQ5 could help me figure out how much to add to each side.
How exactly can I do that with EQ5? Or can I even do it?
I've searched through the program but I don't seem to find an answer.
Thanks.

in new block, make the block 12". than in one corner, redraw your other block. be sure to draw a straight line to the edge from the corner of your other block. when you "print" you block [ i only ever use preview] in rotary cutting, those two extra pieces will tell you how much to add HTH

I understand what you are saying Nancy. Thanks. I guess I didn't explain myself clearly though, my fault. I'm hoping to center my old block in the new 12" block and add on all 4 sides. If I do as you suggested, putting my original block in the corner, I'll only get fabric measurements for 2 sides. Correct?
I made the 12" block in EQ but when it came time for me to draw my original block in the center, I had to do the math which would give me the cutting directions anyway.
I've resorted to paper and pencil and I think I have the measurements I need but if I could have done it easily on EQ that would be nice.
Is there a way or is this just something EQ is not too helpful with?
