Dh used a utility knife to score some wood. It went right through and he didn't think it would affect my cutting mat. Guess who's getting a new cutting mat? When I told him how much, he said "You've got to be kidding!" Like his tonsils were fighting each other and squealing! " He doesn't have tonsils!! I made him hand over a $100.00 bill. The remainder is for punitive damages!!

My husband cut mine using the table saw. I cut three in half and use them on my long arm bed. Love having a long cutting area there, prefect for cutting the excess of a quilt after it comes off the frame.

My Son-in-law cut an old one in half using a table saw. Now I have half and my daughter has the other half. Don't you have a table saw standing behind the door?

My husband cut mine with a bandsaw or something like that. It was the thick Martelli one

I'm glad I read this post because I also have an older quilt mat that I want to cut up and now I have lots of ideas.
