When I don't know what to do. I think about it untill I get inspired. That usually takes about a day or two. If I'm not really into it I have problems finishing it and I don't like a bunch of projects not done. Too much wast of time if I don't finish.

I have a list of all the projects I want to do and the quilting for other people. I start my list every January, as I finish things, I cross them off the list - very gratifying. also, as new things come in, it is added to the bottom of the list. Clients get preference of course, but every time I do something for someone else, I do something for me!

Been fretting about this all day. Went to work for my 4 hr shift thinking it would help. Nope. Still dont know what to start. Do I choose a color first? A pattern from one of many 3 ring binders? A book I haven't sewn from yet? A prepackaged pattern in one of the bags from the LQS? An inspirational pic that's on the internet? Should I do something scrappy or theme quilt? Large? Small? Purse?
If only someone would say.."Oh I like this. Make this next!"
Maybe just get a long cold drink and start from there.
Sorry. No help from me.
Tell ya what. You help me and I'll help you. OK?

Ok made my decision. Have a pack of layer cakes. Newest book is twist and turn and a pattern uses layer cakes. Have backgroud fab to use with it. So I'm done.
Hopefully my success will rub off on you guys!
Good luck!

sometime I have a certain fabric I want to use, So I get out that fabric. Measure. Then look at the patterns, and make sure you have enough of that fabric to use by the different patterns you have. pick out 2 or 3 patterns. go do something else for an hour or so. Go back , look at the patterns again. This time they may look different. Don't stress so much. If you can't deside today, wait untill tomorrow.
