How do I make this block?
#21
I got a rather nasty email from a person saying I should not have posted that pic. I plea ignorant I guess. Did not know I couldn't do that. BUT I should have said where I got it. Sorry again.

I found the picture fairly easy on the net. I don't think you committed a real sin--sort of posted it as people do on Pinterest, though adding the site is nice. I love the block and traced it to a book by Piece 'o cake called "Quilts with a Spin: 7 New Projects from Piece O'Cake Designs." They (Goldsmith and Jenkins) have great bright quilts. The real difference between this and the other blocks show seems to be that it is in several strips around the center and doesn't have a plain center block. Sorry you got the nasty email. Add: I just searched Pinterest and found it several times!

I am so sorry this happened to you. I appreciate any and all help given by people in this thread. At this point I think I will make the blocks different then the original block I was looking at. I will probably piece strips and then cut wedges instead of making rings. I still do not envision how to do those rings. I will also applique a center on it so I do not have to deal with all the points. Adding the center will actually look better with the other rows. It might not be the same circle pattern I was looking at but it will be very pretty and go with the row robin from my swap partner.

I can't offer any advice, I'm too novice of a quilter to help.
But I wanted to thank Auntpiggylpn for that link. I have some striped material that I had no idea what to do with! I'm going to try those blocks!
