How do I quilt this Frank LLoyd Wright wall hanging???
#1
MY DDIL'a birthday is Friday and I would like to finish this by then! Any ideas on how to quilt the middle section?? By the way I hope never to do one of these again. I thought I could sew a straight 1/4" seam but you find out differently when you are doing all these long seams. Ugh!!
This is for my DDIL Jennifer @ her request.

That's a great looking quilt!! I have had interest in doing FLW or Art Deco style quilts. I love this one! I would keep the quilting in fairly straight lines....like already suggested, probably echo in the form of boxes inside the cream background sections.

Sharon that's beautiful; and you're right, sometimes those straight narrow lines are more difficult than sewing triangles. I did one similar and I used straight line quilting on either side of the strips and some large cross-hatching. I think the beauty of any Frank Lloyd Wright structure or object is straight lines (Just my very humble opinion). You did a beautiful job.

I also think that a simple diamond grid would look great in that large middle section.
