I tried to load a picture of one I did but couldn't, probably too big. Anyway, I echoed inside the stars and made my own template to go across the triangles. It was sort of two fleur-de-lis' with a kind of ruffled diamond shape in the center connecting the fleur-de-lis'. Might be more trouble than it's worth since the grandson will be using it......if you know what I mean ;-).

Thank you all for a lot of good ideas. The top came out good, and I just don't want to ruin it with my quilting. Please
    keep the ideas coming. Thanks

I have spent a year working on and off on this quilt for my wonderful grandson, and I am well pleased with
the piecing but need help deciding how to quilt it. I am pretty good at stitch in the ditch, but can venture out a little. I have a Husqvarna Mega Quilter and have free motioned some. Please let me know what
    you think. Thank you
I had a flash! You could quilt a Carolina Panther that would show up on the back and then "fill" with an echo or SID- what colors are you using for the back?

Your quilt is absolutely great! You have received a lot of good suggestions already and I am sure how you decide to quilt it will add to the beauty of this quilt!

I just googled HS images and thought this one was nicely done, and the quilting design doesn't look too difficult

I love your quilt! You might want to just use your walking foot to do diagonal lines from both directions. Cross hatching but larger. This would keep the "guy" feel I think.
