How do I resize a quilt pattern?

I think just adding a border would not work, as the border would be very out of proportion to the center. Just add the blocks as laceybritt noted, then put a border around. You should be able to work it out. These appear just to be same or similar blocks in different colorways, so not hard to just add rows across and down.

Try drawing the block on graph paper to scale it up. Just change the number of inches each graph-paper square represents. This can help you figure out how many blocks of what size to use, too. A standard (Eastern) king mattress is 76" wide x 80" long. A California (Western) king is 72" wide x 84" long.

I, personally, would add 2 blocks to the width and 3 to the length, then use borders to get to the final size, including overhang, etc. By doing that, your borders could be cut equally and would also add some interest, if you used corner stones, piano keys, etc.
