    I haven't sewn with batiks a lot, but never worried about a right or wrong side...maybe there are some it matters, but never has for me.

    If you find it hard to tell, so will everyone else, so in my opinion, it doesn't matter.

    honestly I can't tell the difference in mine, so I just use whatever

    I don't think it matters which is the right side on batiks. I find they are great for paper piecing because you don't have to worry about the right/wrong side.

    I am so glad you asked this - and I'm so glad to hear that most everyone does what I do, pick the side that works best for whatever you're making.

    They are dyed, not printed, so there is no wrong side. Use whichever side you wish.

    I don't think there is such a thing as a right side. Which ever one you prefer. I have often used the "wrong" side of fabric which then makes it the "right" side. So right or wrong is a matter of choice.
