How Do You Decide How Big Your Quilt is Going to Be?
#1
I usually focus on the design of the quilt rather than the size it will end up being, unless I want to make something of a specific size for a bed/couch/table or something like that.
Do you try to make your quilt sizes coincide with bed sizes? Or do your quilts just end up as big as the end up?

Mine aren't really made to fit specific beds but are more lap/twin quilts for a single person to use....(for example I use mine on my side of our king sized bed because I like more covers than DH does).
I try to stay less than 80 tall and 72 wide, just because it makes the backings work out easier.

I never measure a quilt size untill I'm making the binding.
I look at the quilt to tell me if it is finished. Sometimes I like making a block so much I just keep on going till I run of the fabric I'm using.
It's so much fun.
peace
EDIT: Very funny Patrice!
