I have a very old ladder from my Dad's grainery leaned against the wall. T he quilts are hung on the rungs. I like the fact that it's easily moved.

I've seen coffee tables, sometimes not too expensive, that have a glass top over a compartment to display items... a big quilt probably wouldn't fit, but a folded lap or child's or small single quilt might. You'd see it up close but safe from spills and dirty hands.

So glad you posted this idea I have 2 tables that I currently display part of my knife collection in but had decided I was tired of that so thanks for the idea I can put quilts in them instead

My dh made me a ladder that's 30 inches wide and the rungs are about 18" apart and 8 feet tall. I display several quilts and lean the ladder against the wall.

ladder here also. I do have some folded on top of the entertainment center - rotated and rerolled often - but I love this ladder.

That's it... those are the glass trunks I was talking about. Think they're just beautiful. And beings the company is located here in the great state of Texas, I may just have to go visit.

I repurposed a gun cabinet to use as a quilt cabinet. My husband attached metal shelf strips in the corners, and had glass shelves cut to fit. The gun fittings are still there, so it can be changed back to a gun cabinet at any time. I'm going to try to attach pictures, but may not be successful.

I actually had a display cabinet built with a glass front and sides. It holds four quilts on rods that can be easily moved. So I shift them each week to the front. A mall lap quilt lays across the top and can be seen on both sides. The top is also glass.
