I used to have a job where I worked 12hr shifts in a main frame computeroom with about 5 hrs actual work. At first I read a lot of books. Then one day I decided to start piecing quilt blocks so I would have something to show for my time. After 13 yrs I had made 6 quilt tops, lots of pillows, 2 quilt as you go quilts and about 50 or 60 cloth dolls. My bosses saw me sewing and didn't object. One even helped me draw squares and cut out. I did all of this by hand. The new way of doin the rotery cutter thing is hard for me cause I tend to want a patternI can see. But I am persevering.
