Sometimes I feel lonely after a quilt is done. I guess that is not the right word. But like a child has grown up and is leaving the house. I've spent months obsessing over color, scale, mood, seams, pressing, etc.

I always feel that way when I've finished a particulary good book too.

Even if there are things that i made a mistake on (which is human nature ;D) Im always proud to finish it and besides my husband my mom is always the first to see and she loves every one i have made... she is good at fluffing my feathers (making me feel that much more proud XD). What you do is a piece of you and a work of art. You should be proud no matter what! Not everyone can make a quilt. Its just one more thing thats makes you special!

I usually feel a huge sense of accomplishment but then I'm ready to move on to something new.

Quietly pleased...and keen to start another. Each one is a learning process, an experiment, oftentimes daunting, but when finished has a certain personality all of it's own. Worst case scenario....it will keep someone warm if nothing else:)

Elated and proud of myself. If I really messed up or don't like the way a project is going I usually put it away unfinished.
