    It offends me that someone would imply that you're not a real quilter based on how you fold stuff - life is too short! But, you could tell her that storing a quilt in a plastic bag is something "no real quilter" should do, either.

    When my daughter leaves home again, I will have a spare bed to put my quilts out on. The only bed I have that doesn't get used every day is a twin and I make big quilts so they would either hang on the floor or have to be folded to fit ... besides, my grandson uses that bed about once a week and removing them all the time would be a hassle. I have mine folded in a closet - most of them get used, washed in washer and dried in dryer, drug around, used at campfires on the beach, used on the deck, you name it, my quilts have probably done it. I make quilts to be used, loved and abused. If you need a new quilt because yours has seen better days, then I am successful!
