    As others have said, Starch the end and cut it into an arrow point. Allow at least 2 inches or so for this. Then feed it in and as soon as you see it poke through, stick a pin in it and then use the pin to pull it through.

    Sometimes I get it right away and sometimes I walk away! lol

    It gets easier with practice. :)

    Thanks for all your replies. I don't have a problem getting the fabric into the tip that came with the machine, it's the 1 1/4" tip that loads from the side that is giving me fits. I will take it to JoAnns and see if someone there can show me how to do it. Thanks!
