How do you label your quilts?

Our last guild meeting was on the topic of labeling quilts. The important thing is that you DO label it or sign and date it somewhere so that when your great great granchildren (or some stranger) get it 50 years from now they know who made it and when.
Put a label on them all - from bed size to miniatures - on the ones you keep for yourself and the ones you give away.

here's how i do mine, the fabric for the label is machine embroidered, then doubled on the diagonal and the raw edges are sewn on with the binding. kind of like a little pocket, and sometimes i stitch the 'pocket' down. hope this helps somebody.
