How do you like this fabric for a Drunkard's Path Quilt

This is the first blue and brown that I like together. It will be good.
I am doing a dark, dark blue and bright orange for my GS and wife in the Drunkards path pattern. Sort of Asian fabrics and they are Japanese and Cambodian so it is their choice. I only have a couple of blocks done but I like it.
If I can take a photo of a block I will post it.

Personally, I think you're going to totally loose both the impact of the fabric AND the impact of the DP block...but I do like the fabric. Make up a 16 patch and see what you think before committing to a whole quilt, let alone two of them.

Suggestion ... audition it.
cut drunkard path holes in sheets of paper or cloth in the contrast color you plan to use, lay it on the fabric. Or cut a few pieces.
It sounds like a good idea, but IMHO, you are going to lose the impact of both the drunkard's path pieces AND your wavy fabric.
(cool if I'm wrong, tho)
