Have four sewing machines, Babylock, Pfaff, Bernina and last year purchased Janome Jem Gold Plus trim and stitch, I take this little work horse travelling in our Motorhome (the main reason for this purchase), then I don't have to take my serger and computerized Bernina. I love the quality of sewing, does nice even stitches, drop in bobbin feature along with needle threader, free arm, easy pattern selector, can sew on heavy fabrics, trims off fabric as I sew (triangle points, etc,)easy to raise and lower the cutting blade and quiet to operate. Not heavy to lift and compact for storage. I would highly recommend this Janome to any novice or experienced sewing persons.

1966 Elna died, replaced this year with Janome. had to get used to trusting a machine with all plastic parts - little metal on this machine or any other one these days - but easy and intuitive to use - needle threader excepted.

I have a Janome 6600 pro.Have only had it a short time. The only thing I really have a problem with is putting a needle in,there is just no room for my hands. I need to get a threader for it, mine didn't work when I got it and they ordered one, I just haven't been back to get it.The dealer is wonderful and so are all who work there. I could not believe how easy it is to sew with fleece, just so easy.

I love my machine. I have an old New Home which Janome bought out. I had a Bernina and sold it and I would never have another Bernina but I would have another Janome.

I have had Janomes for the last 17 years. 8000 was first-kept it for a year then upgraded to the 9000. then my DH bought me the 6600 for our vacation home and then for Christmas he got me the 11000. so at present I have 3 Janomes-i love the quality and their accessories are less expensive than other brands. Having a good dealer is very important. they are easy to use and i really love my Janomes!!

someone gave one away on craigslist this week. she said it was a beginner machine and that it had been great for her but she had gotten a new one with more features. i was the first one to email her she said but then i didn't hear anymore from her. she must have changed her mind on giving away the old one.
