    I love this idea!

I have kits and collections of fabric I have waiting to be done. But I also have a daughter who finds patterns for quilts she wants so I get sidetracked by her. Oh well, those kits and collections will be there when I retire.

I almost always have a theme I want to do. Once in awhile, I'll hear a fabric calling and have to have it with no idea what I'll use it for. I am not what you'd call you organized quilter. Now with clothes.... that's a different story. Have used the same basic patterns for years and just add my own touches. I'll see a fabric and know exactly what I want to make. Also will hunt for ever to find a certain shade to match or coordinate with an ensemble. Sewing is my way of life and so exciting and fun.

Hubby supports the idea of me quilting and when I am involved with one I am usually so caught up that he rarely hears me complain, yell, argue, etc so there is some peace at home. However, my kids and granddaughters make up for the noise.

I also make sure that my "shopping days" are done after paying the bills and I get a little here and a little there so it looks like I am not buying too often.

All in all, he compliments me on everything I make and loves the little throw quilt I made and claimed it the minute it came off the machine!
