Hi, I need some help on squaring up a quilt top. It seems like I fail the most when it comes to this technique. I hate to end up with a wavy edge, but somehow I do it. Any suggestions about what I am doing wrong? I would appreciate a tutorial that you found helpful.

    1. Measure through the center of your quilt before applying your borders.

    2. Cut borders along the selvage grain to keep them from stretching.

    3. Starch or size your fabric before cutting to keep it from stretching.

    4. Try not to tug or handle the borders or edges too much.

    5. If the waving doesn't appear until the quilting stage, you need to pin or baste your borders down to keep them from puffing up.
