Anyone know where I can get a 221 Featherweight with box in good condition...I bid on one last night on ebay & then saw that it had a chunk and long line fracture on the side by the back screw where the end folds up. He wanted 250 for it but thought with the damage that was a bit high for its condition??? Thank God soneone out bid me & won it. I sure hope they saw that crack....Any ideas?

I have wide storage shelves. I put my material stash thats wound around cardboards towards the front and have the batting in the back.

I store mine on the top of the cabinets that hold my stash. Lots of room for two boxes.

Make long colorful open ended fabric tubes, put the roll of batting in it and tie the ends with ribbons and put it on a bed, until you need it.

I always buy on sale and have so many that I'm using an antique metal trunk from my grandmother for storage.

I don't have any rolls of batting, unfortunately. Not to ask a somewhat 'off topic' question, but is buying the batting in bulk the 'norm' for most hobby quilters?? I just typically buy the size I need when I finish a quilt. Now I'm wondering if I should be considering buying a roll of it.

I don't have a sewing room so I store my batting rolls in the guest room closet, out of the way and protected from getting damp or dusty.

I store mine upright on a rolling stand. Take piece of wood, insert large diameter dowel in center and put 4 wheels on underside. ;-)
