My DH hung a pipe from a curtain rod holder near the ceiling of our shed. I was able to pull off what I needed. I don't know what I'll do in our new, tiny place. Right now my only roll is in its original bag next to a bureau.

I bought a whole bolt of bamboo and I keep the roll in its box in the garage (warm and dry).

When I last bought batting, I bought a bolt. I asked if I could have the cardboard tube on which it was displayed at the store. They were more than willing as it made it easy for them to package for me to take home. I covered it to keep the dust off and stored it on end in my coat closet.

I put a closet rod into it and tightened up the screws as tight as I could get them. I should be able to just slip the roll right over the rod and then pull the batting off sideways to cut to size. I hope it works out since my LA is in the alcove off my living room, there will be no hooks in the ceiling, LOL! My LA frame is an old Grace with no batting bar, besides I have all of stash stored under the frame in clear tubs.
How has this worked out using a Christmas tree stand?
