    Personally I wouldn't be putting wool batting in the dryer. Wool needs to be treated differently to cotton. Cool to warm wash and air dry

    I wash all of my quilts before gifting them using cold water and Woolite detergent. I dry them on low heat. Never had a problem yet, though I have only used Warm and Natural or Poly batting. Good Luck with your quilt, I'm sure it will be much loved.
