Default How do you work with Bella Snow, Porcelain, White, etc. and not have your seams show?

This is my first attempt at working with Moda Bella Snow. I am making a square in a square using the snow as the outside square and the seams need to be pressed towards the outside--the Snow side. The seams are visible.

I tried putting the block on a piece of batting to see if it would blend after being quilted but you can still see the seams through the snow fabric. I also have some Bella porcelain, bleached white and a few other neturals and they are all so thin that the seams would show through.

How is it all those quilts in the Moda bake shop use these fabrics?? Any tricks or do I need to not worry about it?

Can I make a square in a square and press towards the center instead??

Don't worry about it is my motto! I tend to use quite a bit of whites and white on whites in my quilts. Yeah, the seam allowance shows but I just don't think about it. If possible I try to press to the dark side.

Just press to the dark side. It should work.

Press to the dark anyway. You will be much happier.

I have heard some quilters add a very light weight interfacing under the white. I, personally, have never tried this.

Don't worry about it. I press all my seams open and EVERY quilt I make has loads of white fabric.

Once quilted they appear to vanish because you only see the fantastic piecing and quilting.

I always press my seams open, which usually solves that problem.

With white I can still see the seam allowance, but because it's also white, once quilted it's barely noticeable. If I could see a patterned or darker fabric behind my whites I think it would drive me nuts.
