Girl,
You go ahead and toot your own horn.
I will 'blast' it for you!
I am proud of you and your accomplishment, first to be asked, 2nd to complete it and 3rd to be proud of yourself.
We always feel better when we do for others. Keep up the good work!
I have been quilting for 3 years and finished my first quilt for myself this month. That feels good too!

Our son put the picture of our dog on a quilt (her favorite thing to do - lay down or sit on a quilt that I haven't finished yet and lets me know that she is not going to move). He talks fast (the son) and I don't understand a word he says - He is a wizard with computers (his job) and I still don't understand what he is doing. I'll see if he will put it on the next time he comes into town - or at least write down exactly what I am supposed to do - item by item. Edie
Thanks! :D

Gail! :D :D :D I DID IT! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I will have to try another one and see if I can get it to work. I will try to send a picture of my very first pieced quilt - the one that took over a year to make. Again, thank you. You are not a cluck, you are the best hen in the coop!!!! Edie

One thing I CAN do is follow written directions. Now if only I could solve the problem of my new format, perhaps I could post some of my own. I don't know what I did, but I think I messed things up the last time I tried to load pictures into my pc. Cluck, cluck.

You will have such a good feeling when you are done. Trust me - you will bond with that quilt. It is the weirdest feeling and when you have to give it up it is like losing a part of you. Be sure and write a book to go with it. Tell what the block is about, why you chose pink and brown, little bits from the newspaper, and sayings. Check on google - Quilting Poems. There are some really lovely little poems, one of which I put in my books that I give with each quilt:
LIFE IS LIKE A QUILT
Life is like a patchwork quilt
And each little patch is a day
Some patches are rosy, happy and bright
And some are dark and gray.
But each little patch as it's fitten in
And sewn to keep it together
Makes a finished block in this life of ours,
Filled with sun and rainy weather.
SO let me work on Life's patchwork quilt
THrough rainy days and the sun
Trusting that when I have finished my block
The Master may say "Well Done."
Have fun! Edie
