I have bought lots of fabric from Hobby Lobby. Every other week they have a 40% off coupon. You can print it from their website. If the fabric is already on sale for 30% off, they mark it up to full price & then give you 40% off if you have the coupon.

They again remodeled my WM. Kept the fabric but the selection is much smaller than before. Even salesperson said so. I did think some of the fabric I looked at was a much better quality than before. Prices are still high.

We have a Hobby Lobby here. They are always closed on Sundays because it's owned by a religious family who wants their employees to not work on the Sabbath.
Hobby Lobby used to have some really good fabric, but it's not as good as it once was. I agree with the people who said to feel of it. In my opinion, you can tell the quality of the fabric by handling it. If it's loosely woven or feels stiff, you don't want it. I can usually tell the quality by looking at the dye; does it stay within the pattern where it's supposed to be AND by feeling of it. It should feel adequately thick and soft, never stiff. That means it's full of sizing to make you think it's good quality.

If you are familiar with fabric and can tell the difference between quality fabric and non-quality fabric, feel free to shop at Hobby Lobby. I have found several quality fabrics at Hobby Lobby at very reasonable prices.

I've shopped at HL for years - I love it! Most of their fabric is good. They have good sales, too. I would say it is MUCH better than WM or JoAnn - I won't use their fabric to quilt with. But I've made lots of kid's quilts and home dec stuff with HL. Also a great place to get interfacing - every other week they have a 40% off coupon to use.
