Thank you. I had forgotten about Hobby Lobby having material. I do not like to shop @ Wally World so I will drive the 40 miles to get to a Joann's or now the Hobby Lobby. I am having trouble finding some of the varigated thread at a good price & I agree Joann's prices are not always good.

I love their fabrics! Wish they had a bigger selection, but what they have is real nice.

Hobby Lobby is not open Sundays as they are observing the Lord's Day. This is a Christian Organization!

The store by us is large and I have found they have some non-fabric items (rotary cutters/rulers etc). Their fabric is good quality (cottons) but many same brands as the high end Joann's stuff (coupon!) and about $10 yard. I haven't bought any.

I was told that they will not put in a store farther than 650 miles from their home office in Okla. because corporate does not feel that they can adequately service a larger area up to their standards. I also was told by the quilt educater Billie Lauder that there cannot be a HL in Ca. because some little old man in the northern part of the state owns the name Hobby Lobby in Ca.

I like Hobby Lobby and find the prices are better than JoAnn's, about par with Walmart. The selection is about the same as our Walmart, but then most Walmart's are phasing out the fabric department.
