How to finish Inherited SB Sue
#11
I met a lady at Hobby Lobby recently (in the fabric dept of course) and we were talking quilting and she mentioned that she is making THREE SB quilts for her granddaughters....she even invited me to her house to see them. A week or so later I went to her house saw her awesome quilts, still in progress.....she had cut 12" squares of white fabric, maybe sheets ???, and had centered each SB on each of them....she had appliqued them too ! She was so very nice that when I left there she GAVE me an extra block she wasn't going to need for me to use as reference; not only that, she gave me a baggie full of various pieces she had cut and didn't need. She said that she didn't think she would ever do another SB and I was welcome to her extras !
She apparently is a thrifty quilter and showed me how she has used her scrappy bits to create these awesome quilts. I can hardly wait to start mine.

Thanks for all your replies. I've never done a SB, but figured there must be an "authentic" way, think I have it. Thank you again. I'll try to get some pics, Now I just need to get her moving on it. JoAnns has a coupon for Muslin 40% off this week, maybe I'll buy her some for encouragement.
