How to get tea stains out of mug rugs
I have a couple of mug rugs I use all the time and they are invaluable because I am good and knocking tables and spilling. I have a mug rug which is quite tea stained now and when I wash it it isn't coming up clean at all.
I made some new rugs which I really want to use but don't want to ruin.
HEEEEEELLLPPPPP!
Any tips on some pre washing stan removers I can try?
Thanks becks

since tea is often used as a permenent dye---many fabrics are tea-stained on purpose to give them an aged look- my suggestion would be to make them out of fabrics that the tea staining will not show up- will only darken the fabrics with time.

I have a set of ivory-colored hand crocheted placemats that I've used for several years now. My DH and DSS are notorious for spilling their drinks and/or food on them. I soak them in Oxyclean and the stains always come out.

you could soak it in tea and stain it on purpose.....it is not the tea stain thats a problem it is the spots....thats my story an i am sticking to it.................thank you, have the giggles now

I was thinking the same thing but you beat me to it. I had to laugh at the thought though.
