Another idea is to use a new space bag. Suck the air out with a vacuum and you'll shrink the overall dimensions to something wrappable. The space bag is a additional gift . I would love a set of pillowcases with it.

How about a shoulder bag for shopping groceries in, that is large enough to fold the quilt into.

When a favorite student of ours graduated high school last year, I put his quilt, some sheets, some pillowcases, and a few towels into a big blue IKEA bag. Everything was contained in a single package, and the blue bag was handy for packing his things for a new dorm room. It wasn't as elegant as wedding gift might have been, but we all thought it was very practical.

Just before Christmas a couple of years ago, I found some "shopping bags" at a discount department store that had a quilt pattern on the outside. I bought several just to put gift quilts in. That reminds me, I need to be on the look out for more. But you have to grab them when you see them, they are not always available. Then I fold the quilt, so the label is what you see when you look down into the bag.

One thing you might think about...it is difficult for the bride and groom to transport gifts from the reception after their special day. Can you deliver it to, say, her parent's home prior to the wedding? It would take that stress off them and not put anyone else out who might be asked to care for the gift until they could get it home.

the dollar tree has some clear bags with handles on them that fit a kings size quilt you only get one big bag but you an use that and put a ribbon on it mary

I agree with Debbie C, find out if the quilt can be delivered to their home or parents home prior to the wedding. If the gifts are opened at the reception it would make it difficult to get the quilt back in it's wrapping, and transporting it. Plus it could get dirty. Maybe you could make some matching pillowcases or shams and take them to the wedding and stick a photo of the quilt inside with them.

I like the clothes hamper idea or the pillowcase. I embroider all my new pillowcases with a monogram then I store the sheet sets inside.
