I also hope you are doing much better. I had hand surgery and couldn't do very much for 2 years. Still you had a very bad situation. Hope you get around to doing everything you would like to do.

I am new to this site, and have usually sewn alone. I am encouraged to find such a warm community of women sharing on this site. I think I need it too!

At this point, as a nurse, I feel I HAVE to inform all who have responded to this thread...THIS SITE IS ADDICTING!! You all thought you spent a lot of time quilting, and since finding this forum of warm, loving ladies and gents, I'll bet your quilting time has been cut in half!! Am I right? Come on, now. 'Fess up, all!!!
I think we have isolated ourselves in our sewing rooms/areas behind our machines for so long and now the loving atmosphere of this group has finally pulled us out! Of course, I'm sorta kidding about this. I love this sight...it's the first thing I look for in my e-mail....the last thing I do at night! (And a hundred times during the day!!)
Yes, I'm addicted, and loving every minute of it!! At least it's heart healthy in every aspect!! (Well, maybe not every way...not too helpful in the exercise department!)

Karen just wanted to send out a hug to ya. I too went some very major life changes not that long ago...BTW it really is true , a old dog can learn new tricks but boy this old dog learned kicking & screaming.
BTW I used to live not far from good ole Yakima Wash.
So glad you joined>you won't be sorry.
