Actually we are going to build a new log house when we move up there and keep the one that is there for a hunting lodge and for the extended family when they come for the holidays.

The new cabin will have 2 lofts one for the master bedroom and one for my sewing area across from each other with the main living area/room below them. The kitchen/dining area and 2 1/2 car garage will be under the master loft and a separate guest bedroom and the full bath will be under the sewing loft.

It should be pretty sweet once its built and totally off the grid with solar power and water recovery system for the non potable water.

WOW..........that sounds wonderful.......and when all that family arrive for that long weekend....they will have their own space.

Starting from scratch gives one the opportunity to do just what one wants
    (and deserves !!!!).

Where in Tn are you settling? Two of my kids went to school there at Tusculum College in Greenville.on the eastern border. My daughter would jump at the chance to return..she loved it.

"Your Space" is going to be the envy of us all !!!!!

Interesting comment... my guess is that Cranston never realized that selling to Wal-Mart was going to be damaging, in the long run.

Once Wal-Mart picks up a line of fabrics, LQS's cannot carry it, because they cannot complete with Wal-Mart's prices. So they had to create a new brand, Quilting Treasures, to court the LQS market.

Now, with most of the Wal-Marts out of the picture, Cranston is again trying to market their VIP brand to quilt shops.

Wally built a brand new, huge Walmart replacing a smaller one that had a huge fabric and craft area. I was so excited to see what the new Walmart would have. I was so disappointed, they shrunk the area to two short rows. As for the fabric quality, the fabric is made at the same mills that the other stores purchase from. Check the ends of the bolts and compare. I live south of Denver, Colorado and have access to many quilt and fabric shops. My son and his family live in Rapid City, South Dakota. I now save my money and when I visit my son I go to The Thimble Cottage in Rapid to buy all of my fabrics. The owner, Pearl Louise, designs her own fabrics and patterns. The shop is in an old home and is so cute. Take a look on line at Thethimblecottage.com.
