Lists work well for me at the grocery store and when I have to run errands, other than that I am afraid I fail. At work where everything was a rush, I had three stacks, 1.) Rush, 2.) Super Rush and 3.) Too Late.

So I don't make lists at home, other wise all I can see is what I was not able to get to today. They work very well for my husband though.

Thanks for all your suggestions. Seems like I just have to try it, modify it if necessary and try it again.

at least I'm heading in the right direction....

I am going to downsize and leave the projects i really think I am going to make(books fabrics and patterns)
I put them in bins w/ all the fabric and book or pattern I am going to use
Like going shopping in your own stash
That is why I am downsizing
It gets overwhelming having so much

I make lists all the time. Don't finish anything, but put projects on the list. I usually put one or two things that are already done or near done so I can cross them off. It's helpful to think things are getting done.

I didn't have a list, but I have been working on my UFOs and I think I only have one left and if you count the Christmas quilt I started the beginning of this year I have 2...but I have to finish all my UFOs before I am "allowed" to continue on the Christmas one or start new ones. This has been a very rewarding process, it feels good to get them done. Most will be donated, but I am happy they will have a home. Some were 10+ years old. Happy sewing!!

Well, darn - I'm just OCD enough that the idea of spreadsheet makes me grin.

But I'm ADD enough to love the fact that if I haven't been into my stash for a while, it's full of surprises! Like Christmas!

So now, I'm torn between my neuroses!

I keep my UFO's in clear boxes containing all the items needed, they are then put into a cupboard. I label each box with a sticky note so I know where I'm at with the project
