THere are probably tips and tricks I haven't learned yet that would make it easier or not? Or do you just opt to hand quilt or have it LA quilted etc?
I've learnt from experience that it's better to 'puddle' the quilt rather than roll it. This way you can cope fairly easily with a double.

The largest Quilt I've done on my 35 year old Bernina 830 was large queen size for my Granddaughter's wedding last summer.

I did two queens. It was difficult but I got them done and they looked good.

I have done several king size and queen size, as well as twins and baby quilts on my regular machine. Then my DH talked me into buying a longarm. Hurray!!

I have quilted a queen sized on my huskvarna. It is difficult, but it can be done. Don't let the size of a quilt scare you into not using your machine. Also if you accomplish this, then you'll be able to quilt full, twins, cribs as well as lap quilts.

I also agree with what Grammy Dwynn said.

I've done a king size on mine. I would recommend starting with a crib size to start.

The largest was probably real close to a king. Quilted on my Juki TL98 QE. Not a big deal.
