I wait until fabric inspires me. Sometimes, I see a line of fabric that I know will look great in a certain pattern. Then I go for it.

I just took a moment to watch the video, well most of it any way. Nope, love the result but not something I would tackle unless I had a request from someone really, really special who longed for this quilt. Go for it my quilty friends! I will watch and admire from the sidelines.

I seldom do another version of the same quilt and I work with a lot of scraps. That being said, I recently did a second one because I found a piece of odd fabric that would be perfect for the backing and I had thought of an alternate way to quilt it.

Thanks for everyone's insight. I've decided against the Little Dipper Lonestar. Just too many small pieces. I'm going to do a combo of two of her other Lonestars using strip sets. I want to see if I can increase my accuracy in piecing all those intersections. I love the outcome I got on the Rainbow Lonestar even though quite a few of those diamonds don't quite line up. This one will be a different colorway, and I expect it will be a work in progress for several months. Hopefully I'll get started soon....before I change my mind again!

Decision made on your own terms. Good for you! Put in a new blade, press your fabric and away you go.

I think the only quilt I've made more than once is a Log Cabin- oh and another one I can't think of the name of right now. (easy pattern)
