How Long - start to finish - does it take you to make a quilt?

I hand quilted a full sized top that someone asked me to in about a month. But I had one on my quilting frame for several years once because I got sick of working on it. If I had ppl like the ones on here I would have known to go on to other projects instead of trying to force myself to work on that one.

I think a twin quilt was my record, pieced from 3" squares with a border, quilted by machine, bound by machine. Took 3 days. A log cabin can be pieced in two days, my broken dishes took 3 months.

A queen size now ( I'm retired) takes me about 1 year from start to finish as I hand quilt it . It took me about 2 years before when I was working because I didn't have the time to work on my projects.

There are so many things to take in consideration of making a quilt. It depends on the time you have to dedicate. I have a day job so I don't have all day to quilt. I like patterns I can finish in 4-5 days, that includes picking out fabric, cutting, piecing, quilting and binding. I get bored quickly so I don't enjoy doing long projects.
