    Don't get discouraged. Break down the process into small steps. Find a quilt size and/or pattern that you like and work from that.

    You could also mix the 6 inch and 12 inch blocks together in the design. There are many different options. Good luck!

    Don’t be too hard on yourself. Your question obviously has many answers, presented by many different thoughts, from different levels of quilting. Use the ones you can and learn more about the ones you don’t understand! Besides, in days of yore, Geometry wasn’t even a factor. Well maybe unknowingly!
