I have to worry about getting a baby quilt done for my soon to be born grandchild and my soon to be 1 grandson. Then I will think about Christmas.

    My current Christmas list is:

A throw-sized tied comforter for Amanda

A set of quilted placemats and coasters for Daphne

A lap quilt for Baba (DH's grandmother)

8 or 10 quilted wine bottle totes for various friends and family members - I will fill each tote with jars of home-made preserves and a hand-painted glass tree ornament

A Christmas table runner with the Christmas Dear Jane blocks for my mum.

Only the first two are started, so I'd better get cracking!

Just glancing at everyone's posts - NOW I don't feel so overwhelmed. I just have to make 3 or 4 smallish wallhangings for my kids for Christmas. DH had to make the quilt display shelves.

I come from a large family. Every year I made family gifts. Lat year I bought velvet and made bell pulls and embossed the velvet. I put a bell on the botton of each.

This year I am in the the process of making fleece throws for the cold winter nights in New England. Fleece comes in 54" width. I bought a printed fleece the the fronts and I solid color for the back. Just lay them out and even them off and cut and tie fringe.

I'm not sure of the exact link but it came from about.com Collectibles and was called Fleece Throw No Sew Pattern. They are really coming out great as a could custonize them for each family (ie. dogs. soccer. etc> :P
