I work four 10 hour shift days so I only get to sew on my day off or the weekend. So, I usually get in at least one full day of sewing around 8 hours per week. The rest of the time is spent on household chores or projects.

this is a good question--don't feel so quilty now about the little time I spend on quilting. (this board isn't helping). Guess I spend no more than an hour per day. Am retired but other less enjoyable things take me away from quilting.

I seem to spend more time either taking photographs for quilts or designing them (both physically or mentally)....lol. I probably average about 10-20 hours a week. Opps forgot, need to add an additional 7-10 hours a week on here....

Dream more than sew! Although I try to be 3 to 5 hours per day, but many did not surrender!
And since I discovered QB ... coso less and sail more!
LOL!

Never enough hours in the day. I often have to dream, plan in my head and then squeeze in a little sewing every couple of days. The week-ends often get a 4 - 5 hour stretch of quilting.
I would love to do more. I still am in the work force.

I,m in my sewing room at least 8 hours, but all that time is not spent sewing. It is the rest that goes with it. Cutting,
piecing, pressing etc. You know how it is.
Also have to check the QB and have to admit that I do spend a lot of time reading the posts,so that I can learn.
Oh, forgot to mention, I,m retired so that does help, right?
LOL :)

This is going to be a fascinating conversation to follow. If I'm on my normal routine, I probably sew an average of 1-2 hours a day. I've had the grandchildren all summer so not so much. I dearly wish I could do more but actual machine time or cutting time is probably no more than that. I had a friend who had a big jar in her sewing room and used to drop a penny in the jar for every hour she worked, then counted the pennies at the end of the month. Great idea but I've never done it.

I work one week on and then one week off. On the week I am working, I don't have time to sew at all because I work 12 hour night shift. On the week I get off, I sew every chance I get. I get my housework done then off I go.

I spend more time thinking. Last week I was on holidays and was going to sew. Nope we had a leak in our basement and DH took my quilting space all apart.
I think of what I want to do and mostly never get to it. Spend to much time reading Quilting stuff on the computer.
